Please call to make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency. In off-hour times for Port City Animal Hospital, we suggest you take your pet to a 24 hour emergency care clinic location. The nearest clinic is the Animal Emergency & Trauma Hospital of Wilmington located at 50 Greenville Ave, Wilmington, NC 28403. They can reached between the hours of 6 pm - 8 am, 7 days a week, or by phone (910) 791-7387.
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 5 1/2 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and ingestion of non-food objects. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency. We will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments.

It has on site "state of the art" equipment like the digital x-ray machine and someone trained to use it at all times. The hospital has other 21st Century technologies to facilitate blood work and other analysis to better assure correct diagnosis and treatment of your pet(s).

So that we can continue to provide you high quality service, payment must be made at the time services are rendered.
